Projects for the nuclear sector
The Pallas Project – Iv Poland’s expertise in one of the most demanding nuclear projects
For several years, Iv Poland’s interdisciplinary team has been participating in the prestigious Pallas project—one of the most demanding undertakings in the nuclear energy sector. The project is currently in the detailed design phase and is more than 90% complete.
This long-term project is the result of close collaboration among specialists from many industries, who work together to create safe and modern solutions for critical infrastructure.
Comprehensive system design:
Mechanical (HVAC & Water Systems)
The Mechanical team is responsible for designing HVAC systems and water systems for the complex’s key facilities. A particular challenge was the development of a nuclear ventilation system featuring a cascaded negative pressure system and multi-stage filtration, which constitutes one of the facility’s most critical safety systems.
Instrumentation & Control (I&C)
Specialists from the Automation Department designed the HVAC and BMS control systems and participated in the development of documentation for control and measurement equipment. They were also responsible for designing safety systems, such as access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
Electrical
The Electrical Team carried out projects for auxiliary power systems, including emergency power supplies, electric vehicle charging stations, and photovoltaic installations. A lightning risk analysis was also conducted to ensure a high level of infrastructure safety.
Communication
The Communication Department designed a complete LAN infrastructure for technological and security systems. The scope of work included 3D modeling of the infrastructure, as well as the design of the network architecture, redundancy mechanisms, and the selection of active devices.
BIM and the digital twin of a building
The Pallas project is also an example of the effective use of BIM technology. Thanks to advanced interdisciplinary coordination and full parameterization of the building systems, a digital twin of the facility was created, which helped eliminate design conflicts and streamline future construction and operational processes. Engineering of the Future
The Pallas project underscores Iv Poland’s expertise in executing complex international projects, combining advanced engineering, digital technologies, and the highest standards of nuclear safety.
